Can I ask for a membrane sweep?

Hi all.
I'm 38+5 today and have a appointment at the fetal assessment unit. I have one today for a scan and ecg and one on Monday and a routine growth scan on Tuesday all due to 4 episodes of reduced movement, last time I was induced after 3 episodes of reduced movement which is confusing I know. The doctor is not inducing me and the midwives were questioning his decision. However when I go in today do you think it would be possible to ask for a membrane sweep or do I have to wait until 39 weeks?

I'm already 2-3cm dilated and baby is estimated to be weighing 8lb 9oz so would like to go soon! Thanks
