Lush sex bomb bath bomb safe??

Pretty much what the title says.. OH got me some lush goodies & sex bomb bath bomb is one of them. Is it safe to use?
I'm 24wks. Reading variety of different reports online!

I wouldn't use bath bombs ever, never mind during pregnancy. They just aren't good for you or your vagina. Google "dangers of bath bombs."

Wouldn't risk it personally, anytime I've bought it in store they have always asked if the person whose using it is pregnant as it has chemicals that can induce labour.

It might be more likely to affect your ph/give you thrush as your balance changes when pregnant. If you are usually fine then just save them for a few months after having baby when you are all healed and back to 'normal'

Of course it is! IF there were chemicals that could induce labour it would be both completely illegal to sell it and corporate bloody suicide..of course it doesn't contain any! People believe any old shit and then confidently tell others.

Bath bombs are dangerous?

It contains Clary sage if I recall correctly. When I had my first people were obsessed with using them at 40 weeks. I think you'll be fine though!

Still conflicting thoughts
I have used bath bombs over the last few weeks with no issues.

But concern is around the clary sage in the sex bomb one.. people say it's too little to induce labour & others say it worked for them to induce labour... who knows!

I'll maybe skip the sex bomb one till I'm plus 37 wks To be over cautious but still plan on using the others.

Exactly my point, someone told you something very daft and you are repeating it...didn't you think to yourself "huh, that seems extremely unlikely"?

I used this exact bath bomb last week (I'm 6 week pregnant). Can't for the life of me think why it would be a risk to my pregnancy. Prepared to be corrected but it's bicarbonate of soda and food colouring right?

They have clary sage in. I used one the morning of the day I went into labour! I suspect I was probably already in labour by then though. I think any talk of it inducing labour is probably bollocks although it's an excuse for a nice bath!

There's zero evidence that clary sage induces labour at all, and no possibility that the hint of it in bath water could do so.

All Lush products are safe to use in pregnancy. They do contain essential oils but only in small amounts, not enough to cause any harm in pregnancy, or to your baby. If they were harmful and potentially dangerous they’d have to come with warnings.

So I worked at lush and we were all told Sex bomb was the only bath bomb they make pregnant women can’t use it’s not like super dangerous or anything just a risk you’d maybe not want to take

I was also laughing at the initial responses being a bit bonkers/OTT but no, I would avoid clary sage.

I don't think it's likely to induce labour but I know someone who used it thinking it was a totally harmless thing to try and induce labour and it totally put her baby to sleep and she ended up in hospital for reduced movement!

Her baby must be nearly 2 now so it's probably no longer an issue...
