Hi all,
Apologies in advance if tmi.
Just looking for abit of advice.
Woke up to go to the loo at around 3am and noticed this in my underwear.
At 4am got up to check and seemed to have more.
The second time looks quite milky so unsure if this could just be discharge?
I’m 38+5 first pregnancy and unsure what to do! Any advice would be great xx

Im 37 weeks and having to wear pantyliners due to excessive discharge which I have discussed with my midwife. But if this is a new thing for you then I'd speak with your midwife in the morning as long as you aren't having an other symptoms like pain or contractions.

Go and get it checked out. I had a tear in my amniotic sac which resembled the general “leeky” situation id had going on for a while. A broken sac increase risk of infection.
So I ended up going to the hospital twice on false alarms the last pregnancy, but I see it as it’s better to be embarrassed over a leeky undercarriage than to risk a sick baby.
I was having mild consistent contractions each time though. Give us an update and I hope it all goes well.

Just got up and same has happened again, I don’t live close to the unit and don’t want to be a pain if it’s nothing!
To me it looks like a lot I’m not use to this amount of discharge.
Do you think I should go in and get checked?

I had this - I was 'leaking' for hours before my waters eventually broke. I would phone the hospital, they will likely want you in so they can lie you on a pad to check. Good luck! Flowers

Better safe than sorry? How far are you from the unit.
With my first 2 pregnancies I thought my waters were leaking towards the end but midwives said no.
4th pregnancy my waters went at 2am and it was like someone emptying a paddling pool, I had to put an actual nappy in my pants. Every time I moved there was a gush and it went on for a very long time.
When they checked if my waters had gone the first times they had me lie down for a bit then checked if there was water pooling inside, which seems like what's happening to you? The 4th time I just dropped the nappy on the floor with a thud and water was still coming out so they didn't even do an internal.

It could be your waters leaking, with my first my waters went completely with a big gush, but with my second (now 14 weeks old) they were only leaking slightly here and there (like your photos) hospital maternity said I had to go straight in to be checked, after a half a hour drive my waters went as I stood up out the car in the car park, turned out it was my waters trickling, I'd defo give them a ring and ask to get checked for piece of mind x
