I’m 22 weeks now and haven’t bought much but am having a look!…Although getting almost all of our stuff second hand, a donation from my Nan has made me look at new prams but still on a budget so ideally £250 and under. I had my eye on the icicle bubba at Aldi which was 3-1 travel system for £170 but I see they only have the 2-1 now so I started looking at other 3-1 options.

I really like the look of this one but can’t find any reviews. I like that it says it folds small but anything about how it pushes and handles etc?

I’m open to other ideas but again within that budget. Has anyone bought a new travel system yet on a budget?

I can't comment for this exact travel system but we have a kindercraft Moov travel system, we got it for our son 3 years ago and its lasted so well my 8 week old daughter is now in it. So whilst they are quite cheap in comparison to others they are really good quality and do last

Thanks @LVJ1989 that’s reassuring to hear!

I have just bought that travel system (without car seat), baby not here yet but I can give the following feedback:

Cons - the “cocoon” does not have handles so it not strictly a carrycot - you’d still have to lift baby out on arriving anywhere
The “cocoon” attaches to the pushchair via 2 sets of nylon straps with plastic clips at each end. It’s tricky to reach around underneath and clip them on, a 2 handed job that needs a bit of hand/arm strength, but the cocoon feels nice and secure when you finally get there! There’s a demonstrator video on online4baby where she’s clearly struggling with it, we had to use the video to figure it out.
The cocoon not having rigid sides means I’d be reluctant to use it for naps in the same way you might do a carrycot (will probably get a cheap travel cot for my parents house instead)

Pros - seems to be a true lie flat position with the cocoon attached
Easy enough to fold down (1 hand) and up (2 hands)
The plastic clips, zips and mechanisms feel fairly robust
It folds down small - fits in the boot of my polo with just 1 wheel popped off
The cocoon being squishy means it shouldn’t take much room to store either in the car or when not in use
The whole thing is surprisingly lightweight - I was shocked at the weight of known brand prams and rigid carrycots when we looked at some in person

Hope this helps - we bought it online with the intention of sending it back if not satisfied and have decided to stick with it

That’s so helpful thanks @BeastOfBODMAS I absolutely love the colour which is how I got interested in it but now I realise it probably isn’t two way facing as a buggy is it? (Baby facing me). I am now looking at the Moov on that website as I know this is an option on that one…. I so prefer the colour or the cocoon though, annoying!

I take that back I just saw it can face me! I should pay more attention. Okay, leaning back towards this one then!

It is 2 way facing yes, the whole push chair seat bit can be lifted out of the wheel & frame section and turned around. There are little grey marks to line up to do this, it’s not obvious but easy once you find it!

And yes I agree the colour is gorgeous! I’m not keen on all the grey that’s in fashion at the moment.

There are also quite a few options in Smyths at the same price point, we nearly went for one of these instead but it went out of stock at our local store
