Gestational diabetes & big baby?

Hey.
So at my 20 week scan, baby’s tummy was on the 90th percentile and they don’t want it going above 95 I think she said.
What happens if it does? Not medicated for diabetes purely just about stayed diet controlled with some slip ups due to just being generally poorly 🤒 x

My babies tummy was off the chart big at 20 weeks, I'm now 37 weeks and have had growth scans due to something none related, but babies stomach is and has remained over the 95th centile. My consultant isn't worried and they've not tested me for GD as I have no risk factors. I believe they said bigger stomach can just indicate bigger baby, my baby is estimated to weigh over the 90th centile x
