Anybody conceived the cycle after a chemical?

I had an MMC in December and then a chemical in august which were pretty emotionally damaging. 9 DPO today and got a pretty clear test on an internet cheapie. Not holding my breath until definitely after my period is due, as could be another chemical but thought I'd see if anyone out here has conceived immediately following a chemical and have a successful pregnancy? Fingers crossed.

My doctor told me you are more fertile the cycle after having a miscarriage... I had a chemical and 2 months later (the next cycle) got pregnant... fingers crossed for you!! Smile

I had a mmc in November and a chemical in February. I got pregnant in April and I'm 24+3 now. With my chemical my line did not progressed at all so with this pregnancy I kept testing every second day till 23dpo.

I read the studies that supported this and felt optimistic but didn't conceive for 8 months after my miscarriage, and then was a chemical. This one is literally right after (3 weeks) so I'm apprehensive.

I feel like that's going to be me. I have a ton of cheapies, but from past experience my HCG goes through the roof super early and stays high even with miscarriage so I'm not sure it would progress. Already the line is very dark. I suffer from extremely high levels of HCG and have had HG each pregnancy, successful or not.

This is so hard isn't it?

Hello!

I had a chemical pregnancy back in April this year (whilst on the pill!)

I am now almost 23 weeks pregnant so must have conceived pretty much immediately (I came off the pill as we realised it's what we wanted after the CP).

I waited until after I thought my period was due to test as I didn't want to test early again (but being the first cycle after the CP and coming off the pill, it was difficult to know when my cycle was actually due).

I turned 40 in August too so it's very much possible! All the best to you! Xx

I had a chemical pregnancy in November 2017. I conceived dd around 10th Jan 2018 and she'll be three next week.

Me! Had a chemical and the associated “period”/early miscarriage. I conceived the next time I ovulated, no “normal” cycle in between.

I was an obsessive tester and the lines clearly got darker more quickly the second time!

I’m so sorry you’ve been through so much this last year, I hope this is a sticky baby.

Hey @Rtmhwales - hope you are ok.

I had a chemical in July and now 6 weeks pregnant (got my period in August so technically the second time we caught after the CP). We barely even covered our fertile window and just went with the flow Smile

Keep us posted!

Yes I did - my CP happened around the start of December. I had a very long month for the rest of December with a longer period and it skewed ovulation by almost 10 days. Got pregnant then in January, currently 36w. Good luck xx

This gives me so much hope! It's hard to remain optimistic right now, and the next 5 weeks will break me waiting to see if this one sticks.

@Rtmhwales so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm now 35 weeks and fell pregnant straight after a chemical with no period inbetween! So it does happen, don't lose hope ☺️ xx

I had a MC in November and a CP in January. Got a BFP at 10dpo in February and am now 36 weeks pregnant.

I did start taking 150mg of aspirin this time round, which I don’t know if it made the difference but made me feel more confident.

The best of luck to you Flowers

Both chemicals I've had didn't result in BFPs anytime soon after. First one took another 6 months trying and after the second it took another 8 months. That one after 8 months was sticky though and I'm now 26 weeks along. There is hope!
