Combined test at 14:2

Hi all
I have my combined test booked in but I’ll be 14 weeks 2 days at the point it’s done. I know for a fact this is the date as had a private scan at 12 weeks as was paranoid stopping my ivf meds. I’ve tried to bring the scan forward but my midwife says this is fine and she can’t offer me an earlier scan. I was sure the transnucal measurement needed to be taken before 14 weeks. I’m worried the measurement will naturally be too high and therefore give me falsely negative results. Or maybe this isn’t how it works?? Not sure whether to cancel and pay for Harmony. Has anyone else experienced this and received low odds for the three conditions? TIA.

I was also under the impression it had to be before 14 weeks. I had my 12 week booked for when I was 13+6 and the clinic I was meant to go to had to cancel due to a Covid case and they had to try squeeze me in at another local clinic because that was the last day I could have it

If you are IVF you would know your dates exactly regardless of the private scan no? Your IVF date will be the more accurate one than the private scan measurements as things can be smaller/bigger at any stage there.

Hope they can squeeze you in and all goes well

Thanks @willithappen
They won’t squeeze me in as there’s no space anywhere. They keep repeating that it’s fine up until 15 weeks which from everything I’ve read inc the NHS website is not correct. I appreciate they work hard and are very short staffed. However it’s making me a bit concerned about the general level of care I’ll receive. :(

Meant to add that the private scan put me 3 days ahead of ivf date but I think there’s some leeway in the ivf date ( may be wrong) due to implantation being slightly variable.

Hmm strange I'd have thought there's more leeway with the private scan dates then your IVF ones as the scan a multimeter either way being measured wrong can put dates out and with baby just being a bit bigger
I've always been told to go by my ivf dates rather than scan dates anyway.

Thanks @willithappen
I wasn’t sure either way so useful to hear you were told to go with your ivf dates. I’ll explain both and see what they go with at my dating scan on Tuesday. Hope it is ivf dates as then I’ll be just in time!
