If you had high blood pressure did you have an epidural in labour to help control it? Did it help? Also were you induced?

Would also like to know the answer to this!

Yes :) I was induced and after around 20 hours they gave me an epidural to lower my blood pressure. It meant I got some sleep for a bit.

I had one because I had a section and they commented my BP had lowered dramatically. I had PE.

Yes it helps with BP and makes you relaxed over all. I wanted it anyway, hospital were keen for BP. It's wonderful.

Yes, yes and yes.

Yes was induced
Yes had an epidural. Although that was because I let them persuade me. They wanted to cos it would help my blood pressure apparently as well as me. I let them persuade me. I said I wasn't so sure about them before
But I could still feel it. And sometimes it was still painful. I don't think it worked quite as well as it should.
