High BP

So I’ve got slightly high BP but I put it down to just generally having a bad pregnancy and being pretty much bed ridden the whole time feeling awful. Midwifes/doctors etc know also.
I have gestational diabetes also.
Midwife came out yesterday and my BP from getting out of bed and sitting on the sofa when she came was 170/90 but did go down after 10 minutes.
She’s asked me to go into clinic on Saturday for another check, my question is… if I am treated for it what would the procedure be?
Does it require a hospital stay? I had a hospital stay last month for some fluids and anti sickness but caught covid and now I’m frightened.

I had high BP and was put on medication that I just took at home. I eventually did develop pre eclampsia a few weeks later, you’ll be monitored closely for that. They check BP, protein in urine and will do a blood test to confirm if they do suspect pre eclampsia.

I was put on labetalol when my blood pressure went over 150/100. They admitted me to the hospital immediately and I was allowed back home after 36hrs once blood pressure stabilised and they monitored the baby's reaction to the meds. Now I need to be back at the hospital twice a week for a check up - if the blood pressure goes up they will need to up my meds.
