i’m 32+1 weeks and i had a midwife appointment today, she took my urine sample like always and tested it then asked me if i had anything sugary before my appointment which i did (coca cola). she measured my bump like usual and she said that growth increased so she wanted to blood test for gestational diabetes, i asked how much growth had increased and she said not all that much. but now i’m worrying and overthinking because this is my first pregnancy and i have no clue about gestational diabetes and wether it is a serious thing, i’ve tried to avoid looking it up incase i find anything to worry myself more with but i’m just wondering if this is anything to worry about and wether it would harm my baby?

Well maybe wait for the results of the blood test before worrying too much! Every chance it was just the food you ate.
If you do turn out to have it you'll get lots of advice and help think a referral to a dietician too. It's reasonably common so you'll be in good company ☺️
