12 weeks and don’t feel pregnant

Hey,

I’m 12 weeks today and except for some lingering food aversions and heightened sense of smell my symptoms have slowly decreased over the last 2ish weeks. My boobs, albeit a bit bigger, are no longer tender and feel normal, occasional nausea episode if i smell something but definitely feel better overall. I’m so worried after a MMC in May that the same thing has happened again although I seen the heartbeat at an 8 week scan which I didn’t last time.

I’ve definitely put on weight round the middle but this is more due to lack of exercise and overeating recently! Definitely doesn’t look or feel bump like.

Sorry for the long post but I have no one to talk to about this except my other half who I don’t want to worry!

My scan is tomorrow and I’m so worried it won’t be good news.

I remember this fear, and after a mmc you're bound to worry. I'm sure everything will be fine your placenta will be taking over and so symptoms subsiding. I didn't get a bump until past 20 weeks which was always a worry. You'll have to update here when you've had your scan, I'm sure it'll be wonderful

Thanks @QuiltedHippo, it’s so hard to relax after that experience.

I'm 12 weeks and the fear of the scan is awful. Your symptoms sound very like mine. Like you, i to had a scan at 8 wks due to mc and seen heartbeat, but my 12 week scan I was just as nervous. I don't think the fear leaves to be honest. Just keep positive thoughts, 8 wks scan showed a heartbeat so that's all going in the right direction. Please let us know how you get on,

12 weeks onwards is a very typical time for symptoms to start lessening/disappearing. There’s also a chance you’re further along than you think ( they added 5 days at my 12 week scan the other day).

It’s completely normal to worry, especially with your experience. I wanted to cancel my scan because I was so certain it would be bad news. But it was FINE, and I’m sure yours will be fine too.

The chance of a problem, after seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks, is about 2%. So 98% chance of a good result tomorrow. Let us know how you get on. I’m sure you’ll be fine!

Amazing, congratulations! I decided that although you can never relax 100%, it’s important to try and relax, and enjoy our pregnancies.

The 12 week scan is a huge milestone, so glad it’s all gone well.

@Derbee thank you so much for the reassurance. I had to delete the photo as I left my details on there, oops! But so glad it went well, definitely will be trying to enjoy it more.

Your photos were much clearer than mine! Baby was not cooperating at all, and the sonographer had to ask me to stand up and shake the baby awake! Haha. Enjoy your pregnancy, and good luck with everything
