I was 41 weeks yesterday and I still haven't received a date to be induced.
I was told I would be booked in at my 40 week midwife appointment. My midwife was off sick so had another midwife who said I would get booked yesterday for an induction date when I also had my stretch and sweep. At this appointment, the midwife (again, a different one) told me they can't book in on a weekend and I was advised incorrectly as the Ward Manager isn't in and that someone will be in touch today. She apologised and said it wasn't acceptable that I hadn't already been booked in and to make a formal complaint and also call today to make sure it gets sorted.
This morning I have been passed from pillar to post from the midwife office to antenatal (where you get your appointment). No one will give me an appointment! They said they are too busy and there are lots of other women waiting too and they don't have any slots and didn't know about my case until today. They are apparently having a meeting today to free up some more slots. I've been told I'll get a call-back today but I genuinely don't think I will. They are really poor at communicating and no one wants to just help.
Is anyone else going through this at all? I'm seriously concerned I am going to slip through the net and not get a date in time. I have been told by two of the midwives I've seen that I need to be in 41±5 or 41+6 so that allows a maximum 5 days from today to get in.
I've had a difficult pregnancy (lost a twin) so I am worrying more than I think I would have done because I'm so scared something will still go wrong
I've been told to reach out to PALS, which I have and I'm awaiting a call back.
Any advice or experiences shared would be great please. I'm not getting any support from anywhere.
Thank you x
