Hi,

Has anyone else had bleeding and stomach pains in early pregnancy?

I've been bleeding since Wednesday and it keeps changing from black/brown to red (When i wipe it is light and in the pad it is dark). The stomach cramps started on Friday and I am so worried.

I spoke to the EPU on Friday and they told me there is nothing they can do as they had no appointments left that day and they're closed weekends☹️ I was told to see what happens over the weekend and call back Monday.

I have already had a MMC earlier this year and hoped this would be the rainbow baby we are so desperately wanting.

Anyone has any positive stories? I am trying to stay positive but I am devastated and have cried for days.

So sorry you're going through this OP Thanks

I'll be honest & say it can go either way. I've had bleeding in all 3 of my pregnancies. The first was ectopic, the second was a MC & I'm currently 31 weeks with my third.

I had continuous bleeding/spotting with my losses & in my current pg I've had spotting on numerous occasions up until last week. I had pain & cramping in all pregnancies as well.

Fingers crossed that everything works out for you x

Sorry you weren't able to get seen by the EPU, definitely try again on Monday. I had some amount of bleeding in both of my pregnancies. With my now 2 year old, I had about a week of spotting at 6 weeks, which turned into a pretty significant hemorrhage. I was bleeding so heavily EPU told me to go straight to A&E. I was feeling what seemed like period cramps too, so I was pretty sure I knew the outcome. They got me down for a scan the next day and she was absolutely fine, had a heartbeat, measuring right on track for dates. The midwife doing the scan said it's more common than people realise.

I'm in my 3rd trimester with baby #2, and nothing so dramatic with him, though I did have a few weeks of intermittent spotting.

It can absolutely go either way. I hope you're able to get seen on Monday and everything turns out alright.
