Still puking here at almost 22 weeks! You are brave to have 3 DCs with hyperemesis, I don't think I can manage to take such a hard pg again! (this is my 2nd).

You could ask for something different if the current drugs aren't working well enough.

I had two boys and suffered badly with HG with both pregnancies.

natalie, you know Peachy on our ante-natal thread??
She used to work for www.hyperemesis.org.uk/
Also, my sickness has calmed down quite a bit, but am still being sick (22weeks now) I'd go back to your doctors and get your medicene changed, the one thing my doc said when he gave me tabs was 'don't worry, there are lots we can try, so if it doesn't work come back'.

IsawSusiekissingSantaClaus · 05/12/2007 12:05

Hi natalie - Sorry you're suffering. I'm now 34 weeks and still on medication which has controlled it reasonably well (i.e. can eat ok). Wasn't able to go out for months but have been able to recently.

A lot of people find it stops around 20 weeks. Hope this is so for you. It's very draining and isolating. Hang on in there.

I agree with Victorian Squalor - the website and email group can be good. I didn't realise Peachy was a founder.

VictorianSqualor · 05/12/2007 12:12

I think she worked for the helpline or something, she has mentioned it before when we were both at the worst of our HG!
