Gas leak when pregnant

Hi all

I'm just looking for abit of reassurance. I seen on older posts that some women had experienced gas leaks or left stove on while pregnant. I just wanted to hear from women who have been through this scary experience. How were your babys in the end?

Thanks

Have you been exposed?
Was it domestic gas?

I think a bit of natural gas isn’t actually toxic. I think it’s only if you inhale enough that you’re not getting oxygen that it’s a problem.

It’s carbon monoxide which is toxic, might be what you’re thinking of.

I had the stove on for 7 minutes without knowing. Do you think that could be enough time for it to be dangerous

Thanks both for responding

I don’t think that would be enough to stop you breathing enough normal air, so it’s fine.

TheQueef · 20/09/2021 16:31

7 mins will be fine.
With your head in the oven you'd struggle to do damage in 7 mins. (Not recommending obvs Grin)

Is it your first baby?
