16weeks and after antibiotics I'm sure I have thrush. Conflicting advice re whether to use oral tablet/ internal pessary or both!?

I had thrush at 35weeks pregnant and GP would only prescribe external cream. Can you call them and check? NHS says you can't take flucanozole (oral tablets) - www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/related-conditions/common-symptoms/thrush/

The pessary i think
Tablet is a no

Definitely recommend asking midwife or pharmacist, but I do use multigyn actigel (which prevents and treats thrush and BV) and it says on the pack that there are no contraindications for pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Im a midwife... you can use the cream and/or pessary. The tablet is contraindicated in pregnancy.

Not multigyn actigel - this only claims to prevent thrush not treat it. Thrush is caused by a fungus and must be treated by an anti-fungal.

Thanks. I've bought the combi pack 🤞
