Fall at 7weeks 5days, so scared

Hi, I’m approx 7 weeks 5 days and this morning, completely out of nowhere in walk my horse knocked me over when I was leading him, onto concrete and trod on my leg. I’m not hurt at all and curled up so my belly was protected when he walked over me. It was a very slow fall, he just barged and knocked me off my feet. I fell onto my back and it doesn’t hurt at all.

I’m just so scared that the baby is hurt, or worse. It happened nearly 2 hours ago and I haven’t had any pain or bleeding. Should I pay for a private scan to get checked out or call the EPU?

Has anyone had similar to them happen at this stage and everything been ok?

Thanks in advance.

Please try not to worry (easier said than done!). Your baby is still very low down and completely protected by your pelvis. By all means ring your EPU if you are concerned though. To add further reassurance, I had a fall on my bump at 32 weeks and was distraught. The doctors at the assessment unit were very kind and reassured me that the baby was perfectly fine and so well protected by the fluid.

My MW said baby is v well protected from a fall off the horse up to 26-28 weeks so I’m sure you’ll be fine. Any issues with pain or bleeding obviously go and get checked out

Thank you both - what you are saying totally makes sense.

Just to clarify I wasn’t riding my horse, just leading him up for the vet (which makes it rather embarrassing as well) and he knocked me over. Still no pain or bleeding.

I am going for a private reassurance scan this evening though, just to be on the safe side and then I’ll hopefully leave it until the 12 week scan.

Thank you again x

I slipped on the stairs landed on my bum at about 8 weeks - was so scared and went to the GP for a check up (remember when you could do that?!) - I remember he was also worried as he was concerned about whether he'd be able to find the heartbeat but he did and all was good.
If you're worried though so get it checked.

Thank you @bestbefore, I’d much rather be able to go to my GP about this! Glad all was ok with your baby.

Went for a private scan this evening and baby is fine thank goodness, even measuring a bit ahead! So now to be reassured and even more careful than I was already being. Thank you all x
