Sorry TMI! 38 weeks, diarrhea cramps and pains?

Hi everyone.
I'm 38 weeks today and since around 9pm last night I have been having the odd cramping pain down below and have been up all night with diarrhea, sorry if this is tmi. In 12 hours I think I've been to the toilet 6 times and its sore on my tummy when I go. 2 days ago I lost what I think was mucus plug as it was lots and lots of mucusy like discharge but no bloody show. I also had a examination at my appointment 2 days ago and I was 2cm dilated. Are these any signs I could go soon??

I’ve been having this as well sort of but am only 36 weeks - lost my mucus plug a week ago and then yesterday had period pains all day and a bit of diarrhoea but it seems to have subsided again now. I hope baby stays in there for another few weeks!

Also, did anyone else get diarrhea or cramps around this stage in pregnancy what was your experience did you go into labour soon after?

@Laulie98 I did have diarrhoea as I was going into labour. I heard it S your bodies way of getting rid of everything before birth. Good luck

In my last pregnancy I had cramps and diarrhoea the day I went into labor. Good luck x

OP I had this the day I went into labour. Woke up with on off cramps then had to go to the toilet twice. I decided to run a bath to see of that eased the cramps and I had to get out a further 2 times for the toilet. I then went into full labour and needed the toilet again at the hospital. My baby was born 5 hours later! My midwife said sometimes women suffer this because its your body clearing itself before the birth. Good luck

I had diarrhoea as well, at first my contractions felt like the cramps you get with food poisoning too.

Thanks everyone, just have a lot of pressure and some cramping down below at the moment lower abdomen and lower back but not that painful, still having those bowel movements though which are painful.

Hey keep us updated if you do have the baby. I am 38 weeks tomorrow, losing lots of mucus plug and had diarrhoea and firm stoold yesterday 5 times. Today ive been for a poo 4 times already but no cramps or anything so don't think mine will turn into labour.

Just feeling on edge now constantly. Have what I can only describe at constant dull period like pains down below and the odd braxton hick with stomach pains, and pains in lower back. Now feel like I need the toilet but I'm not unable to go, so strange how our bodies work.

Nothing happening here. Just got up for a wee and my hands feel so swollen and stiff and my ribs aching from him kicking them but no labour pains 🤣🤔🥴 hope you are okay.

Same nothing here either, still having the odd period type like pain especially when I lay down in lower stomach and back, was up all last night again though with really bad diarrhea again but seems to dissappear in the morning! Having the odd braxton hick also but no labour signs!

I’m also having period pains most of the time, had a little blood in my discharge again two nights ago but that’s it.

I’ve been Googling a lot and apparently it’s just body getting ready, and actual labour may not happen for weeks.

38 weeks pregnant here. I hve a light pink discharge 4 days now. But i dont feel any pain and may cervix is still close. I am worried.

38 weeks today had loose stools for the past 3 day is this normal?
