Hi all,

So I've been noticing some odd movements, when I get to bed baby is always very active which is ofcourse common, however when I lay on my left side sometimes I get these very fast and repetitive movements and it feels quite alarming, almost like baby is shaking or fitting, I know I'm probably just thinking the worst but has anyone else experienced this? I mentioned it to midwife on Monday and she said it's normal. Does anyone know what I mean? It's making me panic that something is wrong with him. Thanks all x

Sounds like hiccups? Is it rhythmical?

I'm 35 weeks and I get the same, then she goes mad like she really hates hiccups! :-D

It's far too fast to be hiccups IMO. It lasts about 10 seconds and it's super fast movements!! X

I had this with my baby….he’s two days old and mid nap he’ll do a little flip out- like when we sleep and we jerk awake like we’ve fallen? He’s absolutely fine though and I think I was feeling that movement from the inside, it was very weird! Also he was breech so I felt odd movement in strange places. I thought it was that but the little jerky flips when napping make more sense now.

I get all sorts of strange movements, particularly at night, did with my son too and he is still SUPER active at 3yo!

I don't think it'll be anything to worry about, but I'd get checked out if you're worried - better to put your mind at ease
