4D / HD live scan timing

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice on when to have a 4D/ HD live scan. I'm 26 weeks and was looking to have it in a couple weeks time when I'll be 28 which is recommended but have also been told to wait till past 30 weeks? Any advice? Xx

I had a 4d scan with DS2 who is now 3 months old, I got recommend by welcome to the womb to go between 28 to 32 weeks for the best images, I booked mine for 29 weeks and got some amazing ones, also got a free rescan at 31 weeks, which was also good, but my 29 week pictures where a little more clear 😊

@Fairywings86 Thankyou so much! Aww he's absolutely gorgeous, look at that little nose and his lips!!! I'm going to book for 28 weeks I think like I'd planned xx

I had a 4d scan also with window to the womb and had it at 29+3. The images were so clear and amazing. So would definitely recommend around that time!

I just had one at the weekend at 29+3. Mines were all really blurry because my baby just does not seem to like scans. I’ve wasted so much money over the past 7.5 months for them to just rip the piss out of me 😂 baby had hand up at their face and then turned their back on us to snuggle into my placenta. Partner has forbid me to spend any more cash on trying to get nice pictures.

The scan place accidentally sent me the person before me 4D and HD images and they were all lovely and clear. It’s worth it if your baby isn’t a wee troublemaker like mine.

About 28 weeks is a good time. You’ll get nice clear images of the face before everything gets too big and squished (assuming baby is cooperating of course!)

Update- we just had our HD live scan at 27+3 and he did have his hand in front of his face but the sonographer said it was the perfect time to come! Me and DP are so in love xxx
