Brown discharge second trimester

Hi ladies,
I'm in my second trimester and have been having brown discharge for over a week. I have had a cervical check and all observations and everything seems ok. Some days it's heavier than others, it can have small brown clots/snot like. No one seems concerned as it's not 'fresh blood' so I have to try to relax!!
I wondered if anyone else has had this in their second trimester and what caused it? I find it easier to understand if I know why it's happening 🙂. Any advice/success stories welcome as I'm worried baby boy will come super early 🥺

Yes, I had four instances of small brown clots in the second trimester. Never found out the cause, possibly ectropion but they never looked (not easy to see at that gestation apparently, and they don't want to do unecessary procedure just to confirm a benign cause).
Haven't had any bleeding in third trimester though, and baby fine. If they're not worried then hopefully that reassures you X
