Shopping for baby

Hi mamas,
I wanted some advise on buying things for a baby.
I'm a first time mom and baby is due February 3.

I like to be prepared so I've been buying some things for the baby already... Stroller, crib, bath tub, etc.

Now when it comes to clothes, blankets, consumables... I'm a bit confused.

I got a couple onesies in 0-3 and 6-9. (Couldn't help it...they are popping all over my social media in ads lol)

What do I really need to have on me upon their arrival?
How many clothing items (realistically), how many diapers, bottles, etc... ?
Is there a magical list that references all this?
How about the fact that my new born will arrive in the middle of winter. What are some winter items that I'll need? (I'm not sure we are going to be taking walks with them in February as it's brutal in Toronto (-20c), but doctors appointments we likely have to leave the house for)

Am I overthinking all this ?

Help meeee lol

There are loads and loads of lists like this online. But I'd probably recommend just getting enough clothes to get you through the first week or so, as likely everyone and their auntie will give you clothes!
Also think about yourself... comfy joggers, nursing bras, nursing tops etc.

I saw some good lists on Pinterest! And exactly as minapop said, you will get SO MANY clothes gifted to you. Definitley get a decent snowsuit for baby for heading out for those appointments! My favourite gift, that I still use to this day, Is a nursing pillow, it made life so much more comfortable!

@LuluF91 @MinaPop thank you, ladies. You're probably right about getting clothes from everyone. I have a small list for mommy's items pre and post delivery.
Just wanna be prepared 😁
