I got my peak on an ovulation stick on the 29th August, does this make me 16 DPO today?

Not necessarily, you can ovulate 12-48 hours after your peak LH reading, or in fact not ovulate at all as it’s not definite just an attempt at ovulating. If you did ovulate from that peak reading, you would be anywhere between 14-16 dpo.
