Hello all,

I am currently sitting in hospital now and wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I am 31 weeks and 6 days. Woke up this morning with light bleeding. Called hospital who said to come in.

They’ve monitored me and baby and are happy with our heart rates. Doctor performed a speculum examination and said the cervix is closed but I’m bleeding and she doesn’t know why.

They are going to keep me in over night for monitoring and for a scan.

Has anyone else experienced this? This is my first pregnancy.

Xx

I don't have experience of this exact situation, but have been in similar situation and know how scary it is. Hope you're okay.
The scan will tell you more I'm sure, and at least 32 weeks is well along if it does turn out to be something which means they need you to deliver early. Hang on in there ❤️

Cervical ectropian possibly. I had this with my first. Bled from 20-28 weeks and all was well.
Ectropian checked out by gynaecologist and was okay. Which was really reassuring

I had this a couple of weeks ago and had two overnight stays. They couldn't see anything the first time but the second speculum exam showed a cervical polyp which was causing the bleeding. I know you said they did an exam but they missed mine the first time.
A friend had unexplained bleeding and all was fine. At this stage in pregnancy there is extra blood supply and the cervix is very vascular which can lead to bleeding.
Good luck and I hope it all works out.
