Hay there. So sorry u feel so ill. Stomach bugs are horrible. I had a few whilst pregnant with my daughter. Called the midwife at the time and they weren't worried at all just said to drink water as much as I could and to not go anywhere near the maternity unit for fear of spreading it!!

It really is a waiting game tbh. Rest as much as u can and it will pass xx

Please keep an eye on your movements and keep trying water (even if like me if you weren't pregnant you would just tough it out).

I had a severe sickness bug a couple of weeks ago, couldn't keep water down, movements then reduced so had to go to triage and they kept me in overnight on a drip til the bug had passed and I had managed to eat and drink a bit.

It was the movements and the lack of water that worried them, they weren't bothered about me not eating. I'm not saying this to scare you but it's something to keep an eye on.

Fingers crossed it will be a shorter-lived version and you'll start to pick up during this morning but please be very vigilant and ring if you're not sure. After a bag of fluids and an anti-sickness jab I felt SO much better so it wasn't a really stressful stay or anything like that.

Sorry you feel like this OP. I had a really nasty stomach bug around 28 weeks.

The main thing is keeping water down- don't worry about food so much as baby will take whatever nutrients it needs from you.

If you can keep sips of water down, keep doing that and resting. If you really can't keep any water down then call your MW team and ask for a review- the risk with that is dehydration which will then cause your heart rate to increase and BP to drop.
I couldn't keep any water down and ended up going into hospital for 24 hours to have IV fluids give- baby was fine the whole time. Remember they are protected in their own little bubble in your uterus and your stomach is separate.

This bug will pass soon though! Look after yourself x
