Feb Baby long/short vests

Hi all, I'm 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby and was really looking forward to going out with the husband and looking at baby clothes but my mother has decided to take over and buy some even though I asked her to hold off (I know I should be grateful but...) Anyway she has bought some leggings with feet in first size. I live in Scotland and am due in February where it is usually pretty cold from February to April and I know you are meant to layer like a vest and then a babygrow (which I had planned to do) but now with the leggings, can you layer a long sleeved vest over a short one and then have the leggings? I know this is probably a studid question but it's my first and couldn't find anything about this. Also sorry for the rant and ramble and thanks for any help Smile

Yes if it’s cold later as much as need be, I had a October baby and by November he was wearing Atleast long sleeve vest with a long sleeve top or baby grow on and a woolly cardigan inside. Snow suit for outside :)

*layer

Thank you Catherine1210. I know it was probably a stupid question but did know if them both attaching under the bum and being legless would be too much/too tight. But thank you ☺️

I had an October baby last time and lived in an absolutely freezing house that was impossible to hear properly. Through the winter I would later baby up - short or long sleeved bodysuit, tights or footed leggings, sometimes an extra long sleeved top or bodysuit over the leggings (helps hold them up) then a babygrow, then a knitted cardigan over the top. Baby always had at least two layers on top and bottom to stay nice and warm.

I wouldn’t do a long and short sleeve vest at same time.
For those leggings I would put baby in long sleeve vest and then just add cardigan ontop.

You could always do the footed leggings (and socks underneath if really cold) long sleeve vest and then lovely snuggly cardigan as well to avoid having millions of poppers around the bum, I know what you mean about being hesitant with that.
I'd avoid jumpers as they are a ballache on small babies but cardigans are great in my opinion!

A short sleeve vest with a long sleeve top over (like a long t shirt) would work with the leggings so that you don't have a double lot of poppers in the crotch area. Then add a cardigan on top of that.

If it's really freezing, switch the short-sleeved vest for a long one.
