Cramps sometimes more on one side

Hi everyone
So I've just found out I'm pregnant and I think roughly 5-6 weeks
I've been have cramping which I know is normal but sometimes I feel like it's more on the right side. This only happens when I'm in lying down. I don't have shoulder pain or anything else but I'm terrified it's something sinister.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

At your stage I definitely had this on the side I ovulated from. The pains were kind of tugging pains and I also had localised heat. I assumed it was because the egg does implant on that side.
As you say without shoulder pain or the cramps being really intense I'd assume its normal :)

Thank you so much for responding!! Yeah it's like a tugging. I just had a breakdown about it so though so thought I best ask. Every twinge pull and pain I'm like oh gosh what's that. I've had a miscarriage previously so trying not to worry is so hard. Also I'm very constipated so I don't think that's helping, Honestly my favourite all time symptom lol x

Hi, sorry to hear about your previous loss, that must put you in high alert. These tugging cramps were actually the most intense I've had (14 weeks now) so I understand they're hard to ignore. In my experience they are nothing to worry about though :) x
