Hi i’m wondering if someone can give me a peace of mind, I’m going to the doctors next week.

I had a miscarriage 25th July this year, me and partner tried when it was safe. I started experiencing spotting on 18th august but no period.

I had a strong feeling so i took a few strips and stick tests last week and all came back with a strong positive line and clearblue said 2-3 weeks. When i took clearblue last pregnancy i was told 2-3 usually indicates around the 4-5 week mark.

I didn't have a period, I’m just wondering how far along if anyone can help me calculate i'd really appreciate any help! thank you so much

I'm got pregnant straight after 2 back to back miscarriages. EPU told me to date from the last day of my miscarriage bleeding but I found that inaccurate and when I had an early scan, I was 2 weeks behind that date.
If the spotting you experienced was implantation bleeding then I'd probably say around 5 weeks is quite accurate. I'd get an early scan if you can though, best way of giving you a rough date. Congratulations Flowers

I am now 36 weeks pregnant after a miscarriage with surgical management at Xmas. The EPU we’re happy to scan me to make sure it was definitely a new pregnancy and not spotting and positives remaining from the previous loss, given I had not had a period in between. They dated it based on the scan, I saw I was 8 weeks and then self-referred to MW services.

If you are able to get in touch with the EPU then you could explain and they may scan you to just double check it is a new pregnancy and that will give you some idea of dates. If not, your gp would be able to advise and refer you if needed.

Best of luck!
