3rd Tri: Swollen bits, anyone else?

Getting near the end of my pregnancy now and my bits feel so swollen and heavy. Tried to peak inside too but everything looks so swollen too! Like I can't even see inside! Is this normal, anyone else? Will get my midwife to check but worried its something more serious!

I'm exactly the same, have been for weeks. My MW reassured me it is a sign that body is getting ready for labour and result of huge increase of blood volume in pregancy.

Not the nicest of symptoms! Between that and SPD I feel like I have been well and truly kicked in the fanny by a horse 🤣

I'm the same, was the same in last pregnancy on dc2 as well, it's normal for some people alright, usually nothing to worry about, just uncomfortable as hell!

It's awful isn't it! Was panicking it was some kind of prolapse as just looks like everything is closed inside 🙈 but if I'm honest I have no idea what things looked like before 🤭

Mine is like this since about 20 weeks, dc3, the joys.

Did yours go back to "normal" after? I don't remember all this with my first.

Yeah, almost immediately after birth. I had csections, but it's just the pressure from above being gone that instantly relieves it.

I don’t remember this happening with my first but yes everything down there has been swollen this while last trimester
