Varicose veins on labia?

Not ashamed to admit I've NC for this, and hoping there's not a vein troll I'm going to be mistaken for

I'm 33 weeks and for a little while now I've been aware of a smallish lump coming up on my outer labia, kind of felt like the beginning of a bartholins(sp) cyst but no major discomfort, and thankfully no pain.

Just had myself a little look down there with a hand mirror (not recommended!) and can see 3/4 lumps grouped together, all a blue/purple colour, and generally quite unpleasant aesthetically 🙄

Are these just varicose veins? Do I need to get the MW to check? Will they go away after pregnancy?

Yes they sound like they are. By all means get a midwife to check if you're worried or if they get worse. They will most likely go away after pregnancy.

Another question I've just thought of, if anyone can help - is it safe to shave over them? I've been using an electric razor on dry skin, haven't had a close bikini shave for months now. But feel a bit wary now I know they're there.
