Hi there,
I was wondering has anyone else experienced period like cramps while pregnant, I’m 5 weeks pregnant and constantly getting cramps
They’re not sharp just dull cramps, even when I change position, they can last all day but no bleeding.

Hi! Yep, same. Cramp was actually one of the first signs I had. I am 5+5 and have had cramp on and off for ten days. I read that it's basically your uterus adapting to accommodate baby, and normal. There's some info here: www.verywellfamily.com/pregnancy-cramps-2371267

But if you're worried at all or get any blood, call your GP for sure!

I think I will, it’s so stressful since you think the worst, mine has been happening for the past week and abit,
Keeps me awake at night, this is my second pregnancy too and never had these symptoms with my first
I’m glad I’m not the only one and hopefully all good

Yep, I had them all first trimester with 2 out of 3 pregnancies

If there is no bleeding then I'd take (did take) it as a good sign because your uterus is stretching and prepping for a growing baby :)

Obviously if the pain is severe then get checked out, but as I say period type cramps were a good sign in my case!

Thankyou so much putting my mind at ease!

I agree with pp - the only pregnancy loss I've experienced I had zero cramps until the bleeding started. In my healthy pregnancies I always had mild cramps around 5-8 weeks on and off. So for me it's a good sign too! Totally natural to worry though. Fingers crossed for you!

@RavenclawsRoar ThankyouSmile

Hey @LauraNatasha! Hope you are well and congratulations Smile

I'm 4+3 (so a bit behind you) and get on and off cramps during the day and last night they were more noticeable at night! They aren't intense or like period cramps so I'm taking it as a good sign.

With our chemical in July, I had really bad cramps and the bleeding soon followed. Keep an eye on things and take it easy, lots of water help ease cramps also! Sending hugs x

Yep I had loads of cramps at the start. Felt like the worst period pains ever. I was told it was totally normal as my womb started expanding. I'm now 31 weeks and dealing with a host of other pains 😅🤣🤣

@babyboybluex
Thankyou, congratulations alsoSmile
Thanks for the advice, it’s scary cause you think the worst but it’s comforting knowing there’s other women out there with the same, hope all goes well for youSmile

@romdowa 34 weeks and I feel ya!! 😣 Even sitting still & resting and I get horrendous acid, I’m counting down the days now 🙈

I’m 17 weeks and had cramps constantly until 14 weeks they’ve died down since then.
