Baby measuring behind

Hi everyone,

I went for a private scan on Tuesday when I should of been 8+4 weeks. I was only measuring 6.

I rang my epu yesterday and asked me to come in for a scan. Scan confirmed I was 2 weeks behind than I thought. They found a heartbeat but said it was too slow. They want me to come back next Wednesday for a scan to see if theres any growth. The nurse said it could go either way, but it's unlikely to be a positive outcome.

In hoping someone has been in a similar situation and everything has turned out okay? I'm going crazy not knowing what's going on x

I have not had your specific issue, but have been in the "this can go either way" situation in early pregnancy. This is the hard part: all you can do is wait. Hope for the best, but do try to mentally prepare for the worst. I am sorry, OP. I know the uncertainty is horrific. Hang in there, and try to take it one day at the time. Stop googling as well. Whatever the outcome for others (good or bad), that is not your baby, and it just sends you further down the rabbit hole. I hope the scan will give you a conclusive answer, and am really sorry you find yourself in this position in the first place, in what should have been such an exciting time for you.

Thankyou for that message. It's like you read my mind with google. It's all I've done for the past 48 hours - you're right, other people's story isn't my baby. I hope it worked out for you x

When I went for my first scan with DS2 I measured abit more than 2 weeks behind even tho I was pretty sure I knew the dates etc, baby was 8+6 when I thought I should of been 11+4, but all seemed to be okay at the time, all I could do was hope and thankfully it was, please don't google, I did this and drove myself crazy, hope everything work out for you, keep my fingers crossed!!
