Second baby- labour earlier or later than your first?

Hi everyone. My first baby was born at 38+4. Currently 35 weeks pregnant with my second and I wonder what happened in your case- has the labour started earlier or later than your first? My consultant scheduled my section for 38+2 and he said in most of the cases second baby comes earlier than first (although of course not guaranteed)

First born 39+2, then 2nd born 41+3! Was convinced from 36 weeks I would give birth any minute but he really kept me waiting!

37+3 with my first one, second one 40 and counting. I've been feeling overdue for the last 2 weeks.

Later! First and third came at 39+2 but middle one was 40+5.

DS1 was 6 days early, DS2 was born on his due date

First 39+0 second 39+1

First was 41+3
Second 40+5

Both overdue but second earlier than first.

I had my first at 39+5 and my second at 39+0

Second was earlier by 10 days

First born 37+5, second born 41+2

First 38+6
Second 41+3
I was convinced I wouldn’t go over with the second but she had other ideas!

DS1 born the day before his due date.
DS2 born 10 days before due date.

Earlier for me.

Baby no1 was 40 + 14 days
Baby no2 was 49 exactly and arrived on due date

Earlier. By 4 hours

Earlier. DC1 37+3, DC2 36 weeks.

DC1 40+3
DC2 40+2
So yeah the theory was right by 15 hours!

First came on her due date.
Second… well, I’m 40+2 today and still waiting 🤣🤣

DC1 38 weeks
DC2 40 weeks
DC3 38 weeks

DS1 41+1
DS2 40+1

Was right for me too, and the labour was also half the time my first was 😁

All three of mine were 40+6

Later, longer lasting, far less painful.

First 40+6
Second 40+2
Third 40+10

I think I just overcook them 😂

Ohhhh I had my first 37+5. I'll def be ready to expect current one early but reading this it looks like there's a good chance I could go a lot later this time

First was born bang on his due date, second was 10 days early.

DC1 - 40+2
DC2 - due date! So yeah, true by 2 days in my case
