So I had my sweep this afternoon I jusy went to the toilet and wiped and saw this. Is this my mucus plug and if so what should I expect to happen next is this a sign of labour. I’m booked for induction on Friday so I’m really hoping I can go in naturally instead before hand

That looks mucus plug-like but it's not very big. Mine was the size of my fist

Yes!! Mine came out looking like that. Expect much more of it to come. Mine was bloody gigantic!!!!!

Do you reckon it could mean the sweep was successful and will go into labour naturally before Friday ? Or will I still have to be induced most likely ?

I lost my mucus plug gradually with my second dc over 2 weeks! Do it doesn't always mean it's imminent.

Sorry OP there’s no way to tell if it means labour is imminent. I lost mine and went in to labour 4 days later on my induction day but they still induced me as it was a slow start.
I’d get bouncing on your ball, climbing the stairs or some gentle exercise to see if you can influence the outcome! Good luck x

@Mumtobe2021x I lost my mucus plug on the day I went into labour but as I said, there was much much much more of it. I was shocked by how much. If you’ve only had this piece, I’d say you might need to help things along a little. Have you got a breast pump? I pumped the night before the day I went into labour and I’m convinced that was the cause. Could try that? Or hand pumping?
