Does this article mean that alcohol during 2 ww can cause miscarriage?

www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/08/200810102430.htm

I am specifically looking at the part where it talks about the 37% increase in miscarriage risk when stopping drinking around your missed period.

I had one glass of wine a few days after ovulation while TTC. Didn't drink the rest of the 2 ww because I felt guilty about it. That day I had the one glass of wine, I drank most of it, had a meal, and then drank the rest of the glass.

I then went on to have an early miscarriage a few days after I found out I'm pregnant. :( Could I have caused my miscarriage? I know a lot of people drink before they know they're pregnant but I feel guilty if I caused it from the one glass of wine which caused the implantation or growth to fail. I had read conflicting info about alcohol and the 2ww and I feel bad I didn't abstain from alcohol since it was conflicting info so I should have done everything to reduce my risk of miscarriage.

I am wanting to try again to get pregnant but still feel so guilty about this. Also worried working out too hard caused it.

You absolutely did not cause your miscarriage through drinking. Especially one that early. Don’t feel guilty. You did nothing wrong.

Please don’t blame yourself - your loss was not your fault at all. Xx

Oh my love, you absolutely didn't cause this Thanks

You one hundred percent did not cause this to happen. And if you don't believe me and the previous posters then call your Dr, they'll tell you exactly the same thing.
It's just a shitty, shitty thing that happens to one in four of us and we sadly don't get to know the reason why. But we do absolutely know it's not because you had one glass of wine.

I have used the 'drink til it's pink' rule (i.e. carry on as normal until you get a positive test) 3 times - 2 successful pregnancies and 1 MMC, the stress of the TWW is bad enough without denying yourself! The MMC was probably the time I drank the least and reined in the exercise actually FWIW.

Absolutely not caused by one glass of wine, do not blame yourself x

100% did not cause this. I did not realise i was pregnant til 7 weeks and had alcohol. I told the midwife and she said its fine and if it was gonna cause something it would be pretty much instantly (within 24 hours) not a couple of weeks later. There's no placenta yet at that stage so can;t be passed to them.

Sadly 1 in 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage and we just don't know why
