Is This Meconium?

Hi, sorry to be graphic I have attached a picture but is this meconium?
I’ve been wearing a pads for the last couple of days now, I’m 40+5 and just went to the loo and my pad looks like this? Do I call the midwives or is it my mucus plug? Just not sure! Thank you!

I don;t think you would get meconium unless your waters were leaking/plug has come out?

I have no clue. But I’d call the m/w anyway. You’re overdue and it isn’t worth taking any risks.

Meconium is the baby's first poo isn't it? I don't think it's that, if it was that would be an urgent call to the hospital as can be a sign of foetal distress and they can also inhale it during the birth.

Call up and keep the pad in a seal lock/plastic bag incase they want to check it

My mucous plug looked like a slug (🤮)
That could be the start of it.

My mucus plug was like grey and sloppy like a slug as a pp described.

I don't think it's meconium either.
I'd call midwife

Could it just be v brown blood? I think it’s probably a good sign that labour is coming soon. Good luck.

When I was overdue with my son, I knew something was up as there was meconium coming out of me. The meconium was very dark green and floating about in the clearish liquid of my waters. I’d say that looks like discharge, maybe some old blood but call the midwife to ask. Good luck x
