Did you have a luxury product/item you used after baby was born?

Hi all!

I'm 30 weeks and I've just started to think about my hospital bag and what I need.

I'm just wondering if anyone packed a luxury product/item they used whilst in the hospital after baby was born just to make themselves feel better 😂

I love skincare so I was thinking about buying a luxury moisturiser just to make myself feel a bit better 😂

Yes, a nice moisturiser would be lovely. My skin was so dry after DD was born. The L’Occitane hand creams are all very nice. I also really like the Liz Earle cleanse and polish range for skincare, it’s really soothing when you’re feeling tired.

It's not super luxury, but I highly recommend taking the nicest facial wipes you can get. You never know how things are going to go, and to be able to freshen up without getting out of bed -face, neck, hands- is priceless.

Yes, a lovely moisturizer.
Also, nice new pajamas.

I would just take your favourites, you just want stuff that you know works and you don't need to think about.

I got the peppermint body shop foot and leg spray, I was so swollen after the birth it was lovely and the ward was so warm too. I also got a lovely facial spritz, the pestle and mortar one as a treat. Again lovely for Labour and the ward after because I felt like crap but also didn’t want to do nothing about it either 😂

I was all about how things smelled during all my pregnancies especially everything smelling clean and fresh. So I bought new pjs and washed them in lots of fabric conditioner and scent boosters. I also took in nice smelling shower gel and moisturiser. It was so nice after giving birth to have a nice shower and put on clean fresh pjs.

I got a pack of mini toiletries from the white company in their spa scent 💕 it is divine

No... in fact didn't use any of my "beauty" products. Had my epidural catheter in the back for 3 days and a canula in the arm for 4 days so couldn't really take a big nice hot shower.

Still though, if there is one thing i am packing next time is a nice shower gel (a relaxing soothing scent) and a luxurious soft large towel to dry myself after that first shower.
Oh and a nice robe to walk around. Not the fleecy thick ones though. It is quite warm on the ward!

I hardly touched any of the toiletries I took in with me, just toothbrush, shower gel and deodorant when I finally had a shower. I had a spinal and catheter so was a few days before I got round to it. I like skincare too but didn't even think about my face whilst I was in hospital.
I'm having my second in a few months and am just taking basics to hospital. I'm planning to get a few nice bits to use at home in the early days though - face mask, hair mask etc.

As PP said I had so much stuff packed in my hospital bag but barely touched any of it! The only things i wanted was some nice pjs and some nice fruit. And my phone as all I did was take hundreds of photos and videos of my new baby! Couldn’t have cared less about my skin care!
