When will I start to feel my baby move?

Hi everyone,

So I'm currently 15 weeks and 4 days pregnant . I'm just wondering when I should expect to feel my baby move?

This is my second pregnancy. With my first pregnancy it took ages, because I had an anterior placenta.

This time I have a posterior placenta though so it should be much faster?

Thanks for any advice x

I sort of felt sensations that could have been wind at 15 and 16 weeks, but I felt the first obvious kick at 17 weeks, and since then it has been fairly obvious.

I felt really early with my first @ 14 weeks, but was later with my second - about 17 weeks I think

Both times placenta posterior

I'm 19+ weeks and still haven't felt any movements. Waiting patiently for my 20 scan as I'm anxious!

Could anyone explain to me how do you know what type of placenta you have? I haven't heard of it until couple of weeks agoHmm

I'm on my second and have felt it from 18 weeks Smile

I felt what I was sure were very slight movements for the first time at around 18-19 weeks. My 20 week scan specified posterior placenta in the paperwork, although no one's ever discussed it specifically.

@loveblueskys

I was told during a scan xx

@Lilly999 I see! I mean I'm not a first time mum and no one discussed it with me! I'll definitely ask at my next scan. Thank you x

Just turned 20 weeks with my first pregnancy and I have only just started feeling movements, no idea where my placenta is yet

Your comments are all reassuring.

I guess I'm just a bit freaked out because so many women on mumsnet write that they can already feel baby move at 15 weeks and I can't.
