Pelvic floor exercises

So this is a bit mortifying. I haven’t been doing my pelvic floor exercises regularly and thought when they started to weaken I’d be able to tell, it would be a slow process. Except it hasn’t been. Maybe TMI here but I get up from the toilet thinking I’m done, and then when I’m leaving the bathroom or have left I feel myself leak (for want of a better word) and there’s absolutely nothing I do that can stop it. I’m mortified. I didn’t think it would be like this!!
I’m trying to start exercising but I keep forgetting. Did anyone use an app they can recommend or have some other technique to remember? All help would be appreciated!

Can younot just set a reminder on your phone to do them at a certain time?

Are you pregnant or post partum @Velvetscrunchy?
Doing it whilst brushing your teeth is one way to remember at least twice a day.

NHS Squeezy App - £2.99!

@SouthwestSis I’m pregnant.

I would have thought I need to do it more than twice a day?

Me too and slso struggling to remember, and it feels harder now at 20w than it did at say 12w so I really want to get on it!
Yeah you're meant to do it at least 3 or 4 times a day but twice is a start and better than nothing!

The NHS Squeezy app is fab! You can set reminders and it typically advises to do the exercises 3x a day

Unfortunately, incontinence has no discrimination. It can happen at any age with a weak pelvic floor. The best habit to get into is doing them when you are brushing your teeth.
