anterior placenta and movements? 20w...

Hi, I was hoping to hear from others who have had anterior placenta - especially anterior, low placenta - when did you start feeling movements? When did they become regular? What did they feel like?

I'm almost 20w, and I have an anterior, low placenta, and I really can't feel much. I feel something every now and again, but not regularly and not even every day.
With my last pregnancy (posterior placenta) I felt obvious movements from 18w, and he was pummelling me every day from about 20w!

When I found out I had an anterior placenta at a scan at 15w I asked about movements and the sonographer was very meh about it and said she didn't think it'd make that much of a difference. So she's got me anxious now. I also lost my last baby at 23w so I'm super anxious right now and the no movements isn't helping. I have a scan tomorrow and I'm soooo nervous. So looking for some reassurance maybe from others with anterior placenta that this isn't out of the ordinary and I shouldn't expect the worst!

I am pregnant with my first and have an anterior placenta, I’m just over 18 weeks and no movements yet, but when I asked at my 12 week scan the sonographer said not to expect to feel any movements until at least week 22. I’m sure everything will be fine, but I can understand why you’d be worried, sorry for your previous loss

I didn't feel a proper movement that I was 100% sure was the baby until about 23 weeks - I suspect some of the things I felt earlier, from 21 weeks, was my baby but I couldn't say for sure.

Hello, I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and I have an anterior placenta. I didn't feel any movements until about week 22 and then started to gradually feel more. By about week 25 they were very noticeable and often.

I have an anterior placenta and starting feeling movements around 24 weeks and they were really frequent from then. I'm now 39 weeks, although my placenta is now towards the top, so different to you, I've felt more movements in the this pregnancy than I did with my posterior as she's a little wriggler!

I had one in last pregnancy and this one.
Fiest one I rem my first kick was at 19 weeks I felt nothing before but it wasn’t regular for ages
This time I’ve felt the odd kick from 17 weeks but it’s not daily (I’m now 18.5 weeks). I had one kick and one somersault like feeling all day yesterday.
So sorry for ur previous loss. Hope your scan is ok tmrw.

Thank you all that's very reassuring!! Seems like past 20 weeks seems to be the norm which puts me at ease

22 weeks for me also.
And even then after the first it was few and far between until they got stronger.
I found it easier to notice them when I sat really still.
