Fear my morning sickness is turning into HG

Today was a bad day.

Constant, more intense nausea and for the first time vomiting.

I've tried everything I've been suggested:

Ginger biscuits
Ginger beer
Salty crackers
Peanuts
Fruit
Milk

I've got a kg of sour hard boiled sweets arriving hoping that's the magic ticket.

I've not managed to keep any of my meals down today, managed to avoid vomiting after the odd cracker but I'm starting to get pretty desperate at the thought this is just the start.

I'm only 8 weeks and this is nothing like the other 2 pregnancies I had.

Has anyone got any other suggestions to ease the quease?

I have my first midwife check in on Wednesday so hoping I may get some advice there too.

Cyclizine.
And I found nibbling on a Granny Smith apple helped a bit.

But I think one day of vomiting is too early to worry about it turning into HG. My morning sickness peaked around 8-10 weeks so hopefully you won’t have too long before you feel better.

I know, I feel silly jumping to the worst but I usually have a really tough stomach, I barely vomit, not once with either of my other pregnancies and this is throwing me for a loop like nothing else.

When I say nausea, it's been pretty debilitating and I've been hiding from it by sleeping as much as I can. This nausea is just too much for me to keep it under control.

I hope I'm being a total drama queen

Thank for the recommendation, I'll look into it tomorrow x

Hope you are ok. For me this peaked around 8 weeks and. Then reduced.
Hoping you have peaked

Mine has been getting worse and worse. Currently 10w5d and I’ve reached the limit of what I can deal with. Debilitating nausea all day, and throwing up 3 or 4 times a day.

I’m calling the GP tomorrow to ask for some medication, because I am losing my mind

Feelingpoorlysick · 06/09/2021 23:43

There is medication out there that can help so don't be afraid to ask for it.

I had HG, between weeks 8 and 10 were my worst, I was being sick around 30 times in 24 hours. It did eventually settle a bit once I was on medication though.

Have you tried sea sickness wrist bands? They didn't help me but I've heard positive reviews from lots of others mums to be.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

This sounds absolutely horrible. I had HG, and normally it starts earlier than 8 weeks but not always! Are you able to keep liquids down? If not, get some ketostix from the pharmacy and check your urine - this isn’t proof of HG but will get doctors to take you seriously. And if this continues do ask for medication- cyclizine alone made a huge difference for me!

I thought that mine was pretty bad and possibly bordering on HG (sick 6-8 times a day on a bad day, 3-4 on a good for 4 weeks) but the GP prescribed me cyclizine and told me to present at A&E if I couldn’t keep sips of water down. Oh - and to keep up with my vitamins to make sure the nutrients we need are in there as I wasn’t eating much and certainly not the most healthily. I’m 13 weeks now and it’s improved, but I’m still sick at least twice a day. I haven’t found anything that really assists for any length of time 😔 something that I ate on Sunday, enjoyed and kept down came straight back up when I had it again yesterday. Hope you feel better soon, it’s a horrible symptom!

Also, I can’t really stomach water at the moment so have taken to having soda water with a splash of lime. More palatable and seems to be (strangely) easier on my stomach.
