Early pregnancy impact to abdomen

Hi,
I’m 10 weeks pregnant and my toddler just ran at me full tilt and head butted me right in the pelvis (obviously didn’t mean to hurt me, was just overexcited and full of beans). I had to lie down because it was so painful. I know the baby is tucked away at this early stage but I’m just really worried because it was such an impact. The
whole area feels bruised and tender. I’ve called the midwife for reassurance but can’t get through so just wondered whether anyone else had had any similar experiences? I’ve been kicked by flailing toddler legs before and not worried at all but it was just the full force of the impact that I’m anxious about! TIA

As sore as it is for you, your toddler would have to be the hulk to have much chance of impacting your pregnancy! As you say, it's tucked away out of danger.

I remember having my toddler climbing along the top of the sofa while I was laying down on it - naturally they fell off and landed hard on my lower tummy. It was very painful but all was fine.

Ring the early pregnancy unit for reassurance.

Thanks very much @LanisHouseLot that’s really reassuring. I’m particularly anxious due to a previous loss but I suppose anyone who has been pregnant while looking after a toddler must have similar tales of woe.

Thanks @JazzerMcCreary - I tried them earlier abs left a message but haven’t heard back, same with my GP although the surgery said they’d give me a ring tomorrow morning.
