Wet underwear..

I'm 35 weeks pregnant with my first child and these last few days I have been getting wet patches in my underwear. It's clear and not like my usual discharge, and it seems like a lot of it compared to what it's been like throughout the rest of my pregnancy. Has anybody else experienced anything like this in their pregnancies? I have had thrush recently due to being on antibiotics, could that be to blame for it? I have an appointment with the Midwife in a few days, should I mention it to her?

I had to wear liners for the second half of my pregnancy, the discharge (like you described) was relentless.

No harm to mention it at all by the way but in my experience it was normal for both my pregnancies.

It could be your waters leaking. I had similar and when I went to the hospital for some bleeding I was told it was actually my waters. This had been going on for a few days so I had to be induced (I was full term though). They can test easily at the hospital - it’s probably worth getting checked.

It might just be increase in normal physiological vaginal discharge in pregnancy, but you don’t know that for sure. Best call your midwife first thing tomorrow as may be premature rupture of membranes and then you’d need to be induced.

I had a lot of discharge in later pregnancy. I rang the hospital once on a particularly bad day and they advised me to put a sanitary towel on and lie on my left side for an hour then stand up. If I had a gush at that point I had to call back as it might be leaking waters, if not then it's normal if somewhat alarming! Apparently it's worse when it's warm so you might see more in the next few days. It can't hurt to call if it's bothering you though.
