EDD's. Do they take it from LMP or scan? Maybe a good question for Lulumama or Hertsnessex...?

Estimated due date....not all that important in the grand scheme of things, but may well have an impact on my birth plans!

By LMP my EDD is 22nd March. However, at my 12 week scan where the date "precisely" for nuchal tests they said 18th March. Only 4 days different and, like I said, not hugely important really.

However, I am after a VBA2C and know that if I go "overdue" the pressure will start. I just want to know from someone who knows, will they consider me overdue going on 18th March or 22nd March?

the scans are accurate to plus or minus a few days, so if you are sure of your LMP dates, they will keep your EDD as 22nd March. I was told they usually take the scan dates if you are unsure of your dates or if the scan dates are more than about 5 days different to yours.

I was told they used a combination of both and put your due date somewhere in betweem, however when it came for me to have a cs for breech baby, they used my scan edd as the guideline, as they wanted me to go over 39 weeks (was over 39 weeks according to scan but not by LMP)
