Does anyone know how long toxoplasmosis lives on hard surfaces? I.e could it transfer from a cats water bowl to its mat and live in the mould?
I already know that toxoplasmosis can live in water, soil and cats poo.but just wandered if it could live or other surfaces.

It’s a parasite, it needs a host. It also needs to go through a process in order to become infectious to humans so it needs to sit in poo for 1-5 days. Basically if you empty litter boxes daily with gloves on, and wash your hands well, the risk is negligible.
