I'd forgotten the crushing tiredness of early pregnancy. Only 6 weeks but I'm bone tired everyday. Struggling not to have a nap most days but don't feel any more refreshed when I do. I'm taking my vitamins as I should but jeez.

Someone remind me how long this lasts...

Think it normally subsides around 12 weeks when the placenta takes over

Peachee · 04/09/2021 21:02

Yehh it does subside in second trimester however I’m now 35 weeks and floored by it again. !!

DoodleBelle · 04/09/2021 21:03

I’m 16+2 and it’s still ongoing…

Yes subsides around about 12 weeks. I felt the same, just absolute crushing exhaustion and nausea 😭
Thankfully I'm 13 weeks now and I do feel SO much better, just hang in there!

Forgot to say this is second pregnancy as well, don't know if that makes a difference but I definitely didn't feel this bad with the first 😂 it must be like labour where your brain blocks out the bad bits

I remember feeling tired with my first but not THIS tired. Mind you I was ten years younger then!

The tiredness started shifting at 13 weeks for me and was mostly gone by 15 weeks.

Now 37w2d and while it's not as relentless the tiredness is back (yawn)

Tee20x · 06/09/2021 11:57

Omg yes. Whenever I try to explain to my friends the tiredness I am just lost for words.

Every day by 6pm I'd be falling asleep. Never been so exhausted in my life!

I think for me it subsided around 12-13 weeks
