Pregnancy straight after miscarriage

I suffered a miscarriage on 19th August, it was a missed miscarriage and so brought on by the vaginal insert tablets. I bled for a few days then stopped. We were safe and happy to DTD as soon as bleeding stopped. Now 2 weeks later i have had sickness for 2 days, did a pregnancy test and it has come back with a faint positive.
My HCG while miscarrying only increased to 3000 so i assumed it wouldnt take long to reduce back to 0.. could this positive be the start of a new pregnancy or still from my levels from my miscarriage.
Thanks😊

@daniellechichester pregnancy tests come back positive up to three weeks after a miscarriage as it's to do with all the hormones recognising a loss. I thought the same with my positive, but it was the levels from the MC that may take a while to settle hence why doctors recommend waiting a cycle before trying again x

Have you done any tests in between to see if they were fading? 2 weeks out I would say it's probably still from the miscarriage.

It's hard to know. Did you do tests after your miscarriage to make sure they were negative? Or did you have your bloods monitored until they dropped?
You usually don't ovulate until around 2 weeks after a miscarriage at the earliest as it takes a while for the HCG to leave your system. 3000 is also quite high, mine were 570 for my early miscarriage and it still took almost 2 weeks for it to go back to 0. So I'd be inclined to say this is left over hormone from your miscarriage. Best thing to do is test again in a few days to see if it's darker/lighter and go from there.

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks, patiently waited for my period, which didn’t happen. My doctor told me I wasn’t pregnant, it was just wishful thinking.
My beautiful dd is now 43 Grin
