Scared and worried for tomorrow šŸ˜ž

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow but this morning I woke up to red bleeding. Been ringing the doctors all day to try and get a scan at the EPU but when I finally got through the next one they had was next Thursday šŸ˜ž so have booked a scan at a private hospital tomorrow. So worried it’s going to be bad news

I’ve already had not great news at 9 weeks I had a private scan and they said there was fluid in the baby but when referred to the hospital I was told I had to wait and see what had happened at my 12 week scan. So I fear this bleeding will mean the worst has happened

Sorry that’s a bit of a ramble, I want this so badly why is life so unfair šŸ˜ž

Sending love and thinking of you tomorrow. I’ve had multiple episodes of bleeding my pregnancy it doesn’t always mean the worst x

Thankyou both, haven’t had any more bleeding so hoping that’s positive but still worried. Scan not until this afternoon so long wait still!

Hi @Bellesjp
Just try to keep calm and distract yourself. There's nothing you can do right now. All may be fine. Either way you will know everything soon.

The cervix can become very sensitive and easily disturbed when pregnant, and I had bleeding three times due to this with my second baby, but all was totally fine (I just went straight to A and E each time! And had a long wait there too!).

Watch some Netflix and have a cup of tea. Do something nice. Relax. It's all out of your hands, like a plane ride, so just try to sit back and relax.

I too had lots of bleeding in my first pregnancy too. It turned out to be polyps which were harmless and didn’t bother baby at all.
Try to stay calm and hopefully the scan will put your mind at rest.

Thankyou for all your reassuring comments, had my scan this afternoon and baby is alive and was wriggling around! He saw no cause for the bleeding so that’s good. However has a large sac of fluid at the back of its neck which could indicate a chromosome abnormality šŸ˜ž so I will have to have a cvs to take a sample of the placenta when I have my 12 week scan to find out what, if anything, is wrong with the baby. Luckily I have this on Wednesday so not too long to wait but still a worry

Glad you saw baby on the scan & no worrying cause for the bleed, I’m sure it was lovely seeing them active.

I hope all turns out to be okay & cvs results don’t indicate anything concerning, such a worrying time for you.

Bellesjp · 05/09/2021 13:06

Thankyou @NotAnotherBloodyNameChange am trying to stay positive until we have any actual results

Just a quick update that I went in for my 12 week scan and cvs yesterday. There was no need to do the cvs as it was clear from the scan that the baby had numerous severe abnormalities and would not survive 😢 am booked in for a tfmr tomorrow. Gutted just can’t believe this is happening.

There are midwives trained in bereavement that you can contact through Tommy’s. If you scroll down this link there is a helpline and email address. It may help to connect with others who have gone through this heartbreaking situation. So sorry, thinking of you.
