Gender Reassurance

Hi guys. Just a quick one. I had my gender scan at 16 weeks and 5 days, was told a boy. I just wanted to double check these potty shots are 100% boy, as I have heard stories of women being told boy at 16 weeks only to be told girl at 20 weeks. (Due to it still be swollen at that stage). Can I have some honest opinions please? X

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Is there any reason why you didn’t trust what the professional sonographer has told you?

Not at all. I think it's because I've been reading a few posts about how people have been told one thing and then another a few weeks later. Made me a bit paranoid I guess - I know, it's silly lol! Excited for my boySmile

Maybe wait until 20 weeks then you'll have more reassurance?

NW2021 · 02/09/2021 20:22

That’s exactly what happened to a friend of mine! Was told boy at 16 weeks then girl at 20 weeks! Maybe best waiting till 20 weeks to be 100%

Ididanamechange · 02/09/2021 20:24

2nd photo looks like its a boy but with my son I could only tell clearly when I had a growth scan at 30 something weeks. Then it was obvious!

That's the plan. I just wanted a few opinions of what people thought by looking at the scan. Either that or I'm going insane 😂

Yes so it does happen. That's what made me a bit paranoid! I know it's stupid, maybe I should of just waited until 20 weeks anyway; I just wanted other peoples opinions Grin

Yes. With my 2nd son it was obvious by 20 weeks, I do feel like this one is a boy - but I think I've just been driving myself mad staring at every detail. I need to just relax lol!

You could have a Harmony test and find out for sure in a week. A lot of money though, for something that will be revealed in the fullness of time anyway!

That's very true, and I did fork out £60 for this early gender scan just to believe some things online to now doubting it. I'm pretty certain he's all boy 😂
