Hello, I’m 39+5 and the last couple of days babys movements have just been a bit more few and far between, I went up the hospital last weekend to get monitored and have a growth scan and the drs and midwives were happy and sent me home which is good! But my baby is moving a bit less than usual and the kicks don’t hurt half as much as they did, I was speaking to family members and friends and they’ve said that they found this towards the end too that their babies didn’t move that much before birth, I was wondering is this the same with everyone else? I do feel baby moving but it’s just not as much as usual, I don’t know wether to ring the hospital (my community midwives are so hard to get a hold of it’s bonkers) but I do have a midwife appointment tomorrow and I don’t know wether to just wait for that instead? I am in a bit of pain in my bump too but I was told it’s still growing pains by the midwife last week. That’s why I’ve come to ask here for a different opinion to see if it’s normal towards the time of giving birth to feel baby that little but less or do I ring triage?
Thanks!

Absolutely call and get checked out again. It is NOT normal for movements to slow down near the end, you should be able to feel the same amount of movement right up to and during labour. I'm sure all is fine but please do get checked out again.
